Probably 10 or 12 years ago, my buddy and I learned how to use Linux, which then allowed us to explore SQL and PHP. We didn't know it at the time, but SQL and PHP are the two necessary ingredients for installing Moodle. Since installing Moodle on our little, cruddy Linux server my educational life has never been the same. I've been using flipped instruction and an LMS to organize/structure my instruction ever since.
