The distance learning is a new experience for me, as I'm sure it was for a lot of educators. As a kid of teachers I can see the worry they have for their students and them not being prepared. It has asked educators to be more tech savvy which is a positive, but at the cost of genuine in class lectures. As of right now, with the new spike of Covid cases in Merced county, I don't think going back to school will be the best choice. It's unfortunate for everybody but protecting our students is aslways the first priority.

I hope the virus numbers go down and we go back to school.  I worry about kids going through depression and not being able to deal with not socializing. But yes safety comes first!

Hello John,

Most of us have encountered stress and anxiety around trying to transition to online teaching with very little advance notice. But as you stated the most important objective is the health and wellbeing of our students/children. We can do this!
