Breathing exercises can be helpful for monitoring emotions.
Practice body awareness with a caregiver, friend, or yourself!
1. Find a space where you can move comfortably.
2. Put your hand over your heart, notice your heartbeat.
3. Jump up and down 15 times!
4. Sit down and take a few deep breaths.
5. Notice your heartbeat again.
6. Breath deeply, notice how your heartbeat starts to slow down.
Modification: If you are unable to jump, do deep stretches while seated in a chair.
