2020-2021 Priority Instructional Content in ELA and Mathematics

 These documents name instructional content priorities in mathematics (K–8, high school) and ELA/literacy (K–12). These were developed for the 2020–21 academic year in response to the disruption of the global pandemic of COVID-19 and will be used to inform how to gradually phase standards in during the return to normal.    [view] 

Addressing Unfinished Learning After COVID-19 School Closures

 This is  an instructional framework for addressing unfinished learning and learning losses, as well as a review of essential skills and content in English language arts and mathematics to support access  to grade-level content in key grade transitions for all students.   [view]   

Achievement Network: Important Prerequisite Math Standards

 This resource demonstrates that students who were impacted by interruptions to teaching and learning and subsequent learning losses are still able to access most grade-level standards this year without prior review, and that missed content can usually be integrated in a minimally-invasive way. It helps teachers understand which current-year content is more essential than others and how to address the prerequisite content necessary for accessing the current-year content.  [view]
