Each Multiple Subject or Education Specialist Intern Program must include a minimum of 120 clock hour (or the semester or quarter unit equivalent) pre-service component which includes:
General and Foundational Pedagogy including classroom management and planning,
Reading/Language Arts,
Subject-Specific Pedagogy,
Human Development, and
Specific content regarding the teaching of English Learners
This course is part of a series of pre-service courses offered by Merced County Office of Education Intern Programs. In this course Multiple Subject and Education Specialists will review the standards, frameworks, and use this information to plan for instruction. This course sets the foundation for items 1, 2, 3, and 5 listed above and should be completed first, before any other pre-service course.
